Kick start handwriting for your child. Our practitioners in hand therapy can help

Handwriting is an important part of childhood development. It helps to increase reading and comprehension, as well as improving dexterity, fine motor coordination and proprioception. It is not uncommon for primary school aged children to have some difficulties when learning handwriting skills resulting in decreased speed, legibility and endurance. This decreased fluency in handwriting can negatively effect their confidence as they progress through school.

At EKCO Hand Therapy we provide a thorough assessment to help determine the underlying cause and provide ways to overcome these by building strength, coordination, endurance and confidence. Our Handwriting Programme is designed for primary school aged children with mild handwriting difficulties however we are happy to assess and share our tools with any age group.
