PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE REBATES

Hand therapy consultation and support devices (splints) provided at the EKCO Hand and Upper Limb Rehabiliation Unit are covered under Occupational Therapy with your private health insurance fund.

If unsure, please contact your private health insurance fund for confirmation.

MAKING A CLAIM

CONSULTATIONS

• EKCO clinics are equipped with HICAPS facilities enabling you to make an immediate claim for treatment.  Please remember to bring your private health insurance card with you to each visit.
• If your cover does not include Occupational Therapy or you are unable to use our HICAPS machine, you will be required to pay your account in full at the time of the consultation.  You can present both your invoice and payment receipt to your health fund for clarification of any query that you may have.

SPLINTS

Splints cannot be claimed immediately under HICAPS so you will be required to pay the full amount at the time of the consultation.

Claims however, can be lodged with your insurer - they may require a letter from your EKCO therapist indicating the purpose and the importance of your splint.  This can be provided to you at the time of your consultation.
